Meet Our Town Board

Mayor Lee Davis

Lee Davis is serving his second term as mayor of Walden, Tennessee. He has served Walden for many years as an alderman and vice-mayor before being elected mayor in 2020. Lee’s vision is to guide the town with orderly and cohesive development that maintains a small-town atmosphere and preserves our natural areas for the enjoyment of the community. Lee & his wife Heather Ott (Baylor teacher and coach) have lived in Walden since 1996 and are proud to have raised their three children Logan, Parker, and Matthew here. Lee practices law at Davis & Hoss, PC a law practice he founded after serving as an Assistant District Attorney for Hamilton County. Lee represents clients in federal and state court on a wide variety of matters. Lee enjoys walks and bike rides around Walden and is proud of what our town has accomplished together with McCoy Farm & Gardens, WRES, Bachman and the Walden Civic League.

Vice-Mayor Lizzy Schmidt

Lizzy Schmidt is serving her second term as the Vice Mayor of Walden, Tennessee.  She was elected in November of 2020, but has known Walden her entire life. Lizzy and her family have lived in Walden since 2007.  Her husband David is an Assistant District Attorney for Hamilton County, and she practices Criminal Defense Law.  Lizzy and David raised their three children, Ann, Rebecca and Daniel here. Lizzy loves literature, hiking and baking and loves having the opportunity to serve the town of Walden.

Alderwoman Angela Cassidy

Angela Cassidy was elected as Alderwoman in 2022.  She was actively involved with the Walden Land Use Committee for two years prior to her election. She serves on the Walden Ridge Land Use Steering Committee.  Angela is a Certified Master Gardener with Hamilton County.  She and her husband have two grown sons, one rescue dog, and one rescue cat.  She graduated from Georgia Tech with a Masters in City Planning, concentrating on Historic Preservation.  Angela hopes to continue the wishes of the citizens of Walden in adhering to our award-winning Land Use Plan while respecting our mountaintop environment.

The Town of Walden’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meets on the second Tuesday of each month for a regularly scheduled Town Hall meeting at 6:30pm at Walden Town Hall, 1836 Taft Highway, Walden, TN. There is no meeting in July.
